The Portfolio Committee on Communications has expressed its appreciation to members of the public and civic society organisations that submitted comments on the shortlisted candidates to be considered for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Board.

The call for public comments expired by close of business on Tuesday, 29 August 2017.

“Having received substantial number of comments, we are confident that our interaction with the candidates during interviews will be enriched,” said Mr Humphrey Maxegwana, Chairperson of the Committee.

The Committee will also consider public comments during final deliberations on how candidates performed during interviews.
