SA: Committee congratulates RAF on winning an award

The Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport, Ms Dikeledi Magadzi, has congratulated the Road Accident Fund (RAF) for winning the 2016 Top Performing Companies Award for the second consecutive time. “This is testament to the hard work government and its entities are doing to service the nation. The Committee wishes to congratulate RAF, and believes that it has set a good example for all other entities to follow,” Ms Magadzi said.

She said it was important that entities were well managed and governed, and people should recognise the value of having these entities in place. RAF was awarded the Leading Performer certificate in the public sector for having met and exceeded the criteria as one of South Africa's Top Performing Companies. The award recognised sustained excellence in financial performance at the entity. Ms Magadzi said this was encouraging and that the RAF example should be replicated by all state-owned entities.
