SA: Bongi Ngema-Zuma selected as the African Female Leader of the Year 2016

The African Leadership Magazine International Advisory Board under the Chairmanship of Dr Joe Beasley has selected the First Lady of South Africa, Mrs Bongi Ngema-Zuma as the African Female Leader of the Year 2016.  Madam Ngema-Zuma was presented with the award during a prestigious event held yesterday (23 February) at Sandton Sun Hotel in Johannesburg.

The event was attended by some of the high profile leaders in the African continent such as the former President of Ghana, His Excellency, John Mahama and Nigeria’s Minister of Justice and Attorney-General Mr Abubakar Malami.

In her acceptance speech, Madam Ngema-Zuma said “I believe that Africa can win the progress race by focusing on its people, their human rights and empowerment. Africa must realise the power in the people -the buying power, innovativeness and resilience and harness this power by developing technical skills among youth and women, boost the potential of women to lead in politics, corporate, as well as other spheres of society”.
