The South African Weather Service’s Board has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer and would like to welcome Mr. Jeremiah Lengoasa back to the South African Weather Service.

Mr. Lengoasa returns to the South African Weather Service 12 years later, after he joined the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) in Geneva, Switzerland as Assistant Secretary-General in August 2005 and was thereafter appointed as the Deputy Secretary-General in 2010, a position he occupied until August 2016.
