The RRT wish to note that the strike by construction workers on the RRT infrastructure programme is not related to the project but is an internal matter between the contractor MCivils and their employees.  

MMC for Planning and Transport service, Cllr Amos Mataboge did meet with the employees earlier this week to hear grievances and has impressed upon both parties to resolve issues so that the project can proceed effectively. 

This remains a private sector employer and employee matter and RRT has every confidence that business will resolve the matter.
