Public Enterprises Committee meets to prepare for inquiry into Eskom

The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will on Tuesday (25 July 2017), as part of its preparations for the inquiry into the affairs of the power utility Eskom, receive briefings from the South African Council of Churches (SACC) and the State Capacity Research Project on the findings of their respective investigations into allegations of state capture.

The Public Enterprises Committee is one of the committees of Parliament that was directed by the House Chairperson of the National Assembly Committees, Mr Cedric Frolick, to probe accusations of state capture linked to alleged emails involving a number of Cabinet Ministers in June 2017.
