The review of State-owned Entities (SOEs) in South Africa took place at a time that was characterised by enormous challenges and great opportunities. The economy is in a fragile period, in which growth and development plans of the country is threatened. Societal challenges such as poverty, unemployment, skills development, and job creation demands attention.

Infrastructure development plans are being marshalled to contribute to inclusive development and growth of the economy. Demands for improved service delivery are pronounced Government is hard at work charting the country’s long-term development plan.

In this report, the Presidential Review Committee make recommendations for SOEs to be reshaped and made relevant to the developmental needs of South Africa.
