President Zuma undertakes Siyahlola Monitoring visit to Giyani

President Jacob Zuma will on Friday, 31 October 2014, undertake a monitoring visit to Giyani in Limpopo to assess the provision of water following recent community complaints.

The visit forms part of the Presidential Siyahlola Monitoring programme through which the President undertakes hands-on monitoring of service delivery.

The Mopani District Municipality comprises five local municipalities with a population of 1 223 747 residing in 348 villages and 15 towns. Fourteen per cent of the settlement is urban, 81% is rural and five per cent stay on farms.

President Zuma will officially launch the Giyani Water Treatment Work which supplies water to 55 villages including Giyani Town.
