PRESIDENT CYRIL RAMAPHOSA TO ANSWER QUESTIONS IN THE NA

17th March 2022

Parliament, Wednesday, 16 March 2022 – President Cyril Ramaphosa will appear in the National Assembly’s (NA) hybrid plenary sitting tomorrow at 2 pm to provide oral replies to questions from Members of the House, while the National Council of Provinces (NCOP) will convene a virtual debate on State Capacity.

Asking questions to the President is one of the mechanisms Parliament uses to scrutinise and oversee executive action.

The President’s Questions and Answer hybrid session will be preceded by the NA Programming Committee virtual meeting at 8.30 am, where the Committee will consider the draft programme of the House, committee reports, and Bills before the NA.

The NCOP Permanent delegates will convene a virtual debate on the State Capacity at 2 pm. The debate will be held under the theme: “Building a developmental state to take the lead in building a better life for all”.
