Premier Makhura to engage aviation, food and beverage sectors in Lesedi

Gauteng Premier David Makhura will on Friday, 28 October 2016, conduct the Ntirhisano Sectoral Outreach programme in the Lesedi Local Municipality.

Premier Makhura, accompanied by Members of the Executive Council (MECs), Sedibeng Mayor Busisiwe Modisakeng and Lesedi Mayor Lerato Maloka, will engage stakeholders in aviation, food and beverages sectors.

Makhura and his delegation will visit Heidelberg Airport and engage with management of the airport. The airport mainly accommodates light and ultra-light aircrafts and is registered as a Category 2 Aerodrome. The airport also hosts the South African Flight Training Academy, which offers exclusive professional pilot courses.

In addition, the delegation will visit and engage with the management of Karan Beef, which is the largest feedlot in the African continent and are leading suppliers of beef and beef products in the continent.

Discussions during the visit will focus on service delivery, food production and aviation activities in the area.
