Police participates in Cell C take a Girl Child to Work Campaign

The South African Police Service (SAPS) cordially invites the media to the Cell C Take a Girl Child to Work Campaign which will be held at the SAPS Tshwane Academy in Pretoria West.

The campaign, which began in 2003, targets grade 10 and 12 female learners with the aim of exposing them to the workplace and various career opportunities. The SAPS will expose the learners to a multitude of careers and raise awareness with the specific focus on crimes affecting children.

The campaign also promotes awareness of gender issues, the rights of girl children, as well as the benefits of encouraging them to acquire the right work skills that will contribute to the economy and greater civil society.

The Deputy Minister of Police, Ms. Makhotso Maggie Sotyu (MP) will deliver the keynote address.
