People, Migration and Security: Africa in a Volatile World

Between 1-3 December 2017, The Brenthurst Foundation, in partnership with the British Peace Support Team (Pretoria, South Africa), the Africa Center for Strategic Studies (Washington, DC) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Johannesburg, South Africa), gathered at Tswalu Kalahari Reserve in South Africa to discuss the impact of migration on the security sector in Africa’s development.

The participants included a mix of defence personnel, senior political figures, ambassadors, business and industry representatives, and analysts.

The People, Migration and Security: Africa in a Volatile World report captures the key findings from the discussion forum that was held over three days.
