PARLIAMENT PLEDGE FOR AFRICA DAY

28th May 2015

Parliament, Thursday 28 May 2015 – Parliament Presiding Officers and all political parties will sign a Pledge against xenophobia and intolerance and call for African unity, to commemorate Africa Day on Thursday 28 May.

The theme, “Africa Rising: Together making Africa realise its full potential through integration and unity.”

The Pledge will be signed at 12 midday today outside the National Assembly.

Members of the media who do not have Parliamentary media access permits but wish to cover the round table, the Pledge and joint sitting must send their details for accreditation to: mediamanagement@parliament.gov.za copying mmpindi@parliament.gov.za and mdlula@parliament.gov.za by 15h00 today.
