The Portfolio Committee on Water and Sanitation will tomorrow meet various water boards to get briefings on their 2013/2014 annual reports. The boards to brief the Committee include, Rand Water, Lepelle North water, Amatola Water, Mhlathuze Water as well as Bushbuckridge Water.  

Furthermore, the Committee will also receive a presentation from the Department of Water and Sanitation and Rand on the status of the petition from residents of Tsakanem Sunnyridge, Symhurst, Bedfordview and Gerview calling for an investigation into causes of water shortages in Gauteng.

This engagement with stakeholders forms part of the Committees work of oversight over the department and its entities.
