Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) is against the proposed statue of Mr. Zuma in Groot Marico. We are saying that if he wants a statue, he can erect it in his lucrative Nkandla with his own money and not the sweat and capital of the masses. To dedicate a monument to Zuma is to directly support everything he stands for, you will be supporting corruption, Marikana Massacre, 94 Life Esidimeni Massacre, police brutality, commercialised education and everything that this man stands for.

This lousy claim by the governing party is an early April fool for 2017, there is no need to have an actual April fool in the fourth month because we already had one.

PAC  notes the laughable claim by some governing party leaders who wish to see the statue or monument depicting their president in a small town called Groot-Marico in the North West province, a province which they also wish to change its name to Moses Kotane, their former leader also.

As the PAC, we are not certain as to what are the requirements needed to qualify one to have a monument because great leaders such as Robert Sobukwe, Steve Biko, Nana Mahomo, Ongkopotse Tiro, Anton Lembede et al have no such monuments.

The only monument which are known to our country are those of apartheid orchestrator such as Henrick Verwoerd, perhaps these monuments are only dedicated to evil dictators who steal, kill and indulge in other inhumane acts.
