PAC: Its a sad day in our country, Rest In Peace Bra Ray

Pan Africanist Congress of Azania woke up to sad news today, we learnt of the passing of a music giant, Ray Phiri who have been hospitalised recently.

Our hearts are truly hurting and obviously broken for this massive loss. We are sending our deepest condolences to his dearest family, his true fans, friends and the entire entertainment community throughout the world.

Bra Ray entered entertainment industry when it was unfashionable to do so during the trying times of racist arrangement of Apartheid minority rule. His music and that of his peer had influence in liberating our people. Bra Ray and his peers were part of liberation movement.

He is a true role model, we have never seen him in the media for wrong reasons, that clearly display that he was a down to dust individual. He left a great legacy to generations to come. His music will always echo in the deep of our eardrums. He was a blessing to South Africa.

The PAC is grateful to his lovely family for having borrowed us this Son of the Soil, who devoted his entire life to entertain us through his jazzily music and wowing performances. Rest In Peace Son of the Soil.
