As Europe responded to the largest movement of people across its borders in 50 years and governments wrestled with how to fix a humanitarian system unable to cope with or adapt to modern demands, ODI has been at the centre of key global policy debates over the past year. ODI's evidence-based analysis, critical insights and guidance have helped to frame the terms of these debates and provided sustainable solutions.

ODI has been a clear voice at pivotal moments, including the Sustainable Development Goals summit in New York and the COP climate summit in Paris, providing clarity on where governments and international institutions need to go next, supporting decision-makers with reasoned, informed research.
