I take this opportunity to convey greetings from the National Office Bearers of the union who have deployed me here today to address you. I also wish to thank you for the opportunity to meet with you at this important gathering, your conference.

By the way I should also indicate that conference is about review of mandate and its renewal .This is important because most often than not we tend to reduce Congress and Conferences of NUM to elections of leadership. Yet there is a bigger picture of taking stock of our progress and failures during the term of office.
