Northern Cape Transport, Safety and Liaison hosts Reclaim The Streets campaign, 28 Feb

The Northern Cape Department of Transport, Safety and Liaison will tomorrow be hosting the Reclaim The Streets campaign that aims to restore morality back into communities and direct the youth in a positive direction.

The event will include an array of sporting activities such as aerobics, soccer and netball along with a Career Guidance Session. The various sporting teams comprise of teams from the community and government officials.

These Sports Against Crime activities, under the banner of Reclaim The Streets, follows a roll-out of motivational talks from government departments and non-governmental organisations in schools.  

Government departments and community based organisations will have exhibition stalls to render services and share information about their entities. The Department of Home Affairs will be giving free Smartcard IDs to first time applicants.

The youth is encouraged to attend the event.
