POSTPONED: NEHAWU TO BRIEF MEDIA ON THE CURRENT ONGOING STRIKE AT THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The National Education Health & Allied Workers Union [NEHAWU] has postponed the press conference that was to be convened tomorrow morning, however a press statement will be released later today to clarify issues related to the strike.

A new date for the press conference will be communicated in due course with the members of the media.

The National Education Health & Allied Workers Union [NEHAWU] will brief the media tomorrow on the ongoing strike at the Department of Social Development.

NEHAWU will meet the Department this morning for negotiations and then use the press conference for the purposes of communicating the way forward arising from the outcomes of this scheduled meeting.

The National Union will also use the press conference to clarify the issues of blockade of entrances and the moving of more than 90 children out of state-run facilities into NGOs on Friday.
