Nafcoc welcome the establishment of the commission of Inquiry to be headed by Deputy Chief Justice Zondo to look into the so- called State of Capture report by the former Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela.

We believe the restoration of confidence in the integrity of the state and elimination of any form of policy capture should be the result that this commission should produce.

As we pointed out in our previous statement on the issue, policy capture is much more endemic and insidious in our polity. The commission should therefore ultimately deal with all form of policy capture at all levels.

Nafcoc is prepared to participate in this probe and contribute should it be called upon to make such submission.
