Minister Radebe to deliver annual NDP lecture at Unisa

The Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe, will deliver the fourth annual public lecture on the National Development Plan (NDP) titled: “The NDP five years on lesson learnt, challenges, enhancing implementation” as part of the 5th anniversary  of the adoption of the NDP.

The lecture will present the overview of the NDP Vision 2030 and reflect on the first five years of its implementation, paying particular focus to youth and women empowerment, including challenges and achievements over the past five years.

The  NDP serves as a blueprint for the work that needs to be done to achieve a prosperous society for South Africa. The core priorities of the NDP are to reduce poverty, unemployment and inequality.

Minister Radebe will be joined by the Deputy Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Buti Manamela and National Planning Commissioner, Vuyo Mahlathi on the panel of respondents.
