Minister Radebe to brief the media on the 5th anniversary of the adoption of the NDP

Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe will brief media on the 5th anniversary of the adoption of the National Development Plan (NDP).

The NDP is South Africa’s overarching plan and was adopted by all parties represented in the National Assembly in 2012. The objective of the NDP is to create a better and more prosperous South Africa by 2030. Its core priorities are to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality and unemployment by 2030.

The Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation has been entrusted with the responsibility to oversee the implementation of the NDP Vision 2030.

During the media briefing, Minister Radebe will outline progress in the implementation of the NDP, challenges as well as highlight interventions plans to accelerate the implementation of the NDP.

Minister Radebe will also outline government activities that are aimed at marking the 5th anniversary of the NDP.
