On Thursday, 18 September 2014, Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Pravin Gordhan, will host a Presidential Local Government Summit. The summit will include key local government leaders. They will deliberate on an urgent action plan to strengthen local government by getting the basics right.

The summit will take place as follows:

Members of the media are advised that LIVE accreditation will take place on Wednesday, 17 September, at Gallagher Estate from 08h00 to 16h00.  All journalists are required to INDIVIDUALLY  visit the accreditation centre with their press cards, South African Identify or Passport documents and a photo of each journalist will be taken for accreditation.
