The Acting Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Honorable Faith Muthambi, will visit the Pollsmoor Correctional facility tomorrow, 12th April 2017, as part of her ongoing drive aimed at meeting Correctional Services management and staff, with the view to address some of the departmental challenges.

The Acting Minister will further assess progress made in terms reducing the number of persons detained at the Pollosmoor Remand Detention to 150 percent, as ordered by the Western Cape High Court in 2016.

The Minister will later address members of the media at a press conference to be held in the Area Commissioner’s boardroom.
