The Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Dr Zweli Mkhize, will address the Technical Convention of the Association of Municipal Electricity Utilities, (AMEU) tomorrow, on Monday 8 October 2018.
 
The AMEU is an association of municipal electricity distributors as well as national, parastal, commercial, academic and other organisations that have a direct interest in the electricity supply industry in Southern Africa.  
 
The Minister is expected to brief the AMEU on the work being done by COGTA to improve the functionality of municipalities through the Municipal Recovery Plan and also on the work of the Inter-Ministerial Task Team on Electricity Reticulation, Distribution and Monies owed to Water Trading Entities and Water Boards.
