MINISTER JEFF RADEBE TO CONDUCT FRONTLINE SERVICE DELIVERY MONITORING AND IMBIZO

The Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPME) and Chairperson of the National Planning Commission, Jeff Radebe will conduct service delivery Imbizo in Mandeni, Kwa-Zulu Natal Province on Wednesday, 13 July 2016.

The Imbizo will be preceded by unannounced monitoring visits to key service delivery facilities where the Minister will assess quality of services offered to the community and to determine sustainable interventions required for those facilities

Frontline Service Delivery Monitoring (FSDM) is DPME`s monitoring service in collaboration with the Provincial offices that has been and continues to monitor public service facilities through both unannounced visits and improvements monitoring meetings, with the aim of catalyzing service delivery improvements and highlight the importance of monitoring to sector departments.

The FSDM seeks to instill the culture of self-monitoring in departments so that improvements on the quality of service delivery is realised, with an overall aim of advancing planning, accountability, responsibility and reporting through monitoring.
