Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the South Africa-Indonesia Business Forum that will be addressed by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies and his Indonesian counterpart, Mr Enggrariasto Lukita.

Indonesia was ranked South Africa’s number 12th export partner and 10th import partner on the Asian continent in 2016.

The two-way trade between South Africa and Indonesia experienced relative upward trend since 2012 to 2016. Thus, total trade between the two countries grew from R12 billion in 2012 to R13 billion in 2016.

The discussions will centre on enhancing cooperation between the two countries with a view to promote complementarities.

The Business Forum will provide an opportunity to highlight opportunities in both economies and also explore areas of collaboration and strengthening the trading partnerships between each other.
