MEDIA-INVITATION: SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT REVEALS PLAN FOR AFRIKANERS AT FUTURE SUMMIT

8th October 2015

The Solidarity Movement will reveal a five year future plan for Afrikaners on Saturday, 10 October 2015 in Centurion. The summit, known as the Solidariteit Beweging Toekomsberaad – Helpmekaar 2020, follows the Movement’s crisis summit held in May this year.

It is expected that thousands of delegates, friends and members of the Movement’s institutions will attend the summit. A delegate from South Tyrol, an autonomous province in the north of Italy, will also address summit delegates on the day.

Several motions were adopted at the crisis summit in May to find solutions to protect the Afrikaner community against the country’s continuing decline. The outcome of the committees’ work will be presented at the summit in the form of a five year future plan for Afrikaners.

Flip Buys, Chairperson of the Solidarity Movement, said the plans to be discussed at the future summit will be based on the idea of Afrikaner autonomy. “The summit will really be a historic event where the most comprehensive plans yet drawn up by civil institutions will be revealed. No plan will be adopted if we’re not sure that it can be implemented,” Buys said.

The press is hereby cordially invited to attend the summit.

Date: Saturday, 10 October 2015
