Tomorrow, Tuesday, 15 January 2019, the Democratic Alliance (DA) Team One Gauteng Spokesperson on Social Cohesion and Gauteng’s Forgotten Communities, Bridget Masango, will engage with social grant beneficiaries outside the SA Social Security Agency (SASSA) Offices in Benoni who have alerted the DA to their plight.
 
It is unacceptable that grant beneficiaries visiting these offices have for the past few weeks been turned away without receiving their benefits.  
 
This crisis is now impacting beneficiaries who are in need of their grants to afford basic necessities such as sending their children to school and buying food.
 
Our people deserve to have access to quality and dignified social services which the ANC government is incapable of providing.
 
Only the DA can bring change that builds One South Africa for All.
 
 There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs.
