MEC PARKS TAU LEADS A FAMILY LEKGOTLA FOR THE TWO DEPARTMENTS

MEC for Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Parks Tau will lead a three-day Lekgotla for the two departments starting from 27-29 January 2022. The three-day Lekgotla creates a platform for members of the senior executive management teams to collectively embark on a strategic planning session. The year 2022 marks a mid-term for the 6thAdministration, this requires the strategic session to focus on accelerating the implementation of the Growing Gauteng Together 2030 [GGT2030] vision.

The objectives of the Lekgotla are:

To ensure the achievement of the MEC’s delivery agreement targets through the agreed APPs,

To solidify the implementation of the strategic direction,

To integrate the work of the WarRoom into the departments, entities, provincial government and strategic partners,

To ensure that accelerated implementation takes place,

To build the family into a high performing institution that is focused on changing the lives of the community it serves.

This year’s strategic planning session will see the participation of various industry leaders to share sector relevant expertise in support of the Growing Gauteng Together objectives. Through the department of Health attendees as well as staff from Aha Kopanong Hotel will receive Covid-19 vaccination as part of our ongoing campaign to vaccinate workplaces #VaccineSavesLives.
