MEC MAILE TO VISIT UNITY SECONDARY SCHOOL AS PART OF 2017 SCHOOL READINESS

10th January 2017

As part of Gauteng Provincial Government’s commitment to prioritise education, Premier David Makhura and all MECs will on Wednesday, 11 January 2017, conduct oversight visits to monitor the overall state of readiness of schools for the 2017 Academic Year. Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Lebogang Maile will visit Unity Secondary School, in Daveyton.

MEC Maile’s visit will feature a school walk-about and also tree planting. The walk-about will be followed by MEC’s engagement with various stakeholders at the East Rand School of the Arts in Daveyton.

The theme for this year’s 2017 School Readiness Campaign is “Preparing our children for Digital Learning”.
