MEC MAILE AND EXECUTIVE MAYOR MASINA TO LAUNCH OPERATION O KAE MOLAO THIS WEEKEND

Gauteng Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development MEC Lebogang Maile, jointly with Ekurhuleni’s Executive Mayor Cllr Mzwandile Masina, will address members of the media this coming Sunday, 09 September 2018, Ekurhuleni Council Chambers, Germiston.
 
MEC Maile will be officially kick-starting an ambitious campaign dubbed “O Kae Molao”, geared towards cracking-down on unlawful business practices, including the sale of expired and fake goods, across Gauteng’s township spaza shops. The campaign is a result of the ugly events that took place in Soweto, wherein shops owned by foreign nations were attacked and looted.
 
Operation O Kae Molao will be launched in the City of Ekurhuleni. Executive Mayor Cllr Mzwandile Masina will outline the success of the pilot operations in Reiger Park, Tembisa and Thokoza and the City’s state of readiness to roll-out the campaign.
