MEC Alan Winde welcomes international delegates attending Business Process Outsourcing Summit

4th March 2015

Alan Winde, Western Cape MEC of Economic Opportunities, welcomes the international investors and analysts attending the 2015 South African Outsourcing and Offshoring Summit.

Two hundred delegates are attending the summit, which is presented by Business Process Enabling South Africa (BPeSA). It starts today and runs until 6 March.

MEC Winde said the summit presents us with an opportunity to promote the Western Cape’s excellent offering to the global contact centre industry.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome the delegates to the Western Cape. This summit is an ideal platform to showcase this region’s strengths in the sector.

“An increasing number of global brands are choosing to set up operations in the Western Cape. This speaks to the confidence firms have in the Western Cape and indeed South Africa as a world-class business destination.

Gareth Pritchard, the CEO of BPeSA, said: “This is the biggest event of the year for our sector and we are excited about the opportunities it will bring to South Africa. During the week of the event, the international delegates will get to experience first-hand what a wonderful service location South Africa is and I am confident after seeing what we have to offer that they will be back in the near future.”
