Limpopo holds memorial service in remembrance of late MEC Joy Matshoge

The Provincial Government will hold a memorial service in remembrance of the late MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Joy Matshoge. MEC Matshoge died in a car accident on Saturday night. She has been afforded a Provincial Official Funeral Category 1 by the President of the Republic of South Africa.

Prior the accident, MEC Matshoge spent the day at Gilimburg Citrus Estate with workers and management. This is evident that her commitment in agricultural, rural development and food production remained high on her priority. Premier Chupu Mathabatha and his cabinet will visit the family in Modimolle later today to offer their condolences.

As the Province is mourning the tragic loss of MEC Matshoge, the public are invited to pay their respects and sign the condolence books. Condolence books are available at Office of the Premier, 40 Hans Van Rensburg Street and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, 69 Biccard Street for members of the public who wish to write messages of support to the bereaved family.

Government is busy with preparations leading to the funeral arrangements of late MEC Joy Matshoge. Her body will be laid to rest this coming Saturday at Modimolle.
