The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies will officially open the Radiation Protection Training Centre at an event which will be held as follows:

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) has collaborated with the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation SOC Limited (Necsa) to fund the radiation protection laboratory at the training centre. The centre will train radiation protection officers who will help develop safety programs in order to control the use of radiation and protect the public, environment and workers from the harmful effects of radiation in different industries.
