Schools in the eThekwini Metro are ready for the 2015 school year. This follows a visit by the KZN MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Nomusa Dube-Ncube to the Andrew Zondo Primary in eLovu and Hamilton Makhanya Secondary in Mbumbulu.

During her visit, MEC Dube-Ncube, handed over learner support material to these schools, which will be used by their pupils in the upcoming school year. The distribution of these materials is taking place across the province of KZN.

As the political champion of the eThekwini region as delegated by KZN Premier Senzo Mchunu as part of Operation Sukuma Sakhe, Dube-Ncube says that the early distribution of these materials for next year is designed to make sure that all learners start with school work on day one.

In her address to the learners in both schools, MEC Dube-Ncube urged them to work hard and focus on their studies so that they can become individuals who will add value to their communities. “As learners you carry the hope of our nation, you are the next generation that will come up with innovative solutions which will help us take our country forward. It is important that you focus on studies so that you can play your part in the building of a better country,” said Dube-Ncube.
