KPMG in South Africa wins two Universum Awards

KPMG in South Africa has been ranked as South Africa's top employer for business students for the fourth year in a row by Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” survey. KPMG also received top honours in the Main Field of Study in the business and commence category.

Universum, a global talent consultant, develops its global index of the top 50 most attractive employers by asking students pursuing business and engineering degrees to identify their “ideal” employer. For this year’s survey, they interviewed 46 709 students from 25 universities and 13 510 professionals to determine the most appealing firms to work for.

“Our achievement is owed to KPMG’s continual proactive engagement with universities and students across the country,” says Nhlamu Dlomu, Executive Director: Human Resources at KPMG in South Africa.

“We remain committed to our students’ academic success and seamless transition to their personal life because they are an important KPMG stakeholder and the future leaders of our country. We are, therefore, tremendously excited for this recognition as it is encouraging to know that they feel a connection with the KPMG brand.”

Looking at the trends, students are looking for opportunities that include leadership, training and development opportunities within an organisation. However, there is a concern about vacant positions for them after graduation.
