The Statistician-General, Mr Risenga Maluleke, will release the results of the Electricity, Gas and Water Industry, 2019, at a virtual media briefing to be held on Thursday, 02 September 2021, in Pretoria.

The survey collects basic quantitative information every three to five years on the nature and structure of South Africa's electricity, gas and water industry. This includes trends in production, employment, energy mix, income and purchases between 2010 and 2019. The information is essential for decisions on policy, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
