Today the Inkatha Freedom Party celebrates the birthday of our President,
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi MP, by thanking him for his great contribution
to South Africa's liberty and democracy. Prince Buthelezi is one of our
country's finest leaders; an elder statesman with the courage of his
convictions and deep-rooted integrity.

As a Party we celebrate his exceptional leadership that continues to guide
us in serving South Africa. We appreciate his long-standing commitment to
putting the needs of our country first; a commitment that has borne fruit
for every citizen.

We admire Prince Buthelezi's dedication, energy and strength. Truly he
serves for the love of country.

The greatest gift we can give him on his birthday is to follow his example
and give selflessly of ourselves for the betterment of South Africa. We will
do that, fulfilling the mandate given to us by the electorate to return
integrity and servant-leadership to South African politics.

On behalf of all South Africans, and many friends throughout the world, we
wish Prince Buthelezi all the happiness he so richly deserves as he
celebrates his birthday. We do this with great affection and enduring
admiration.
