The IFP in KwaZulu-Natal has raised its concern about the high levels of crime
faced by the people of the province.

“The recent burglary at the home of Deputy Minister KaMagwaza-Msibi is yet again
an indication that no one can feel safe. It is fortunate that no one was harmed
in this incident and we urge the South African Police Services to do everything
in its power to apprehend those responsible”, said Hon M B Gwala, IFP Leader in
the KZN Legislature.

“In doing its job diligently, I would also call upon SAPS to follow the paper
trail to find out how was it that KaMagwaza-Msibi came to have about R500 000,00
in her house, where did she get such a sum of money from and why was the money
not deposited in a bank for safe keeping? Does the Deputy Minister not trust the
banking system in our country” asked Hon Gwala.

The IFP would like to advise people not to keep large amounts of cash at their
homes as knowledge of this will attract burglars thus endangering their
families,” he concluded
