IFP: David Ntombela says ANC Councillors attempt to buy support with food parcels in Elandskop

The IFP in the uMgungundlovu area has raised grave concerns about ANC
councillors who are using food parcels to buy support.

"These councillors are telling people to pay R20 for food parcels and thereafter
they take pictures of them for party membership. Without paying this fee people
do not getting anything. We see this as ANC dirty tactics to recruit members
under the banner of food parcels. They are using food parcels because they know
that people are hungry and unemployed and it's easy to trick them with food,"

said IFP Leader in Vulindlela, Mr David Ntombela.

"People must not be fooled by these tricks as this is a once-off event and they
will not see those ANC councillors after they have paid the R20. The IFP will
hold a mass community meeting tomorrow in Vulindlela Hall at 10am to discuss
this matter and other social ills happening in the Vulindlela Area," concluded
Mr Ntombela.
