IFP: Blessed Gwala sends condolences to the Masondo family

The IFP would like to send its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of a co-founder of the Soul Brothers, David Masondo, who died after spending almost two months in the Garden City Hospital in Johannesburg.

"The South African music industry has lost a legend. We’ve lost a great artist, musician, a leader in the music industry. He was part of the people that change the African music, so called Mbaqanga, they gave it a different sound. Masondo contributed a lot to Soul Brothers as they produced more than 35 albums over the years, which have sold more than three million copies worldwide," said IFP National Chairperson, Mr Blessed Gwala.

"It's so sad for us losing our people like this but there's nothing that we can do. For the family and his band members, we say; hold on to Jesus. God is always there for you. He's the best consoler," concluded Mr Gwala.
