GCIS: Freedom Parl participates at Tourism INDABA 2016

Freedom Park will stand shoulder to shoulder with local and international exhibitors from various parts of Africa during the Tourism INDABA 2016. The Tourism Indaba takes place from the 07th and 10th May 2016 at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban.
Tourism Indaba is the largest Tourism marketing event in Africa and ranks amongst the top three in the global calendar. Indaba brings together a showcase of Southern African tourism products and services for the international and national travel trade. Exhibitors include provincial authorities and provincial products, accommodation, tour operators, game lodges, transport, online travel, media publications, heritage destinations, transport, camping and safari companies.

“Our primary objective is to showcase the significance of Freedom Park as liberation heritage product at this prestigious event whilst keeping abreast with global trends and new developments within the tourism and travel industry”, says Jane Mufamadi Freedom Park CEO.  9% of the current visitors to Freedom Park are international tourists whilst 91% is domestic (including Africa) market.

We have seen a spike in visitations by international tourists after our last Tourism Indaba where we signed in excess of 23 agreements with the local and international buyers.
