GCIS: Deputy Minister Manamela attends Extra-Ordinary Session of Specialised Technical Committee on Youth Culture and Sports

The Deputy Minister in the Presidency: Planning Monitoring and Evaluation as well as Youth Development and Administration, Mr. Buti Manamela, will tomorrow  attend the African Union (AU) Ministerial Meeting of the Specialised Technical Committee on Youth, Culture and Sports taking place in Nairobi, Kenya.

The meeting will discuss the Draft Statute of the African Audiovisual and Cinema Commission (AACC), established to enhance the development of the creative and cultural sectors on the continent, the implementation plan of the AU Volunteer Corps, and look at an implementation strategy for the Anti-Doping Code.

In addition, the ministers will also have a dialogue on a detailed 10-Year Plan of Action on Employment, Entrepreneurship and Skills Development for African Youth.

The South African delegation, led by Deputy Minister Manamela, departs today, Thursday 14 September 2017.
