Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Lebogang Maile, engages farmers in Ekurhuleni

As part of the ongoing efforts to unlock the full potential of the agricultural sector, MEC Maile will hold a dialogue with farmers from Ekurhuleni.
 
The dialogue will serve as a platform to assess progress made in the following areas:
 
State of readiness for the upcoming planting season
Progress in the implementation of the Agro-processing and Food Security Strategies
Progress with regard to interventions during the recent drought period
Progress with regard to the management of outbreaks that can potentially hamper output
 
Farmers will also share their own concerns and make recommendations with regard to areas that require improvement from the side of government.
 
The dialogue will take place as follows:
