Premier David Makhura and Members of the Executive Council (MECs) will on Thursday, 25 August 2016 host a Ntirhisano conversation with Gauteng City Region’s young women. This dialogue is part of the provincial government’s series of events to celebrate women’s month.

The event also aims to contribute to the development of young women to become active citizens, shape their own destiny and shift mind-sets. The dialogue will provide tools for young women to empower themselves to become active citizens.

There are many challenges that face young women of today; they include the high number of teenage pregnancies, high rate of unemployment and lack of role models.
Young women from across the city region are expected to participate in the conversation.
