Four Committees to focus on illicit financial flows in a joint meeting

The Standing Committee on Finance together with the Portfolio Committees on Trade and Industry, Mineral Resources, and Police will tomorrow (30 August 2017) meet to take forward their programme on illicit financial flows, base erosion and profit shifting, focusing specifically on investigations and prosecution of transgressors.

The Acting Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Lieutenant-General Yolisa Matakata, will participate in the meeting, as will representatives from the National Treasury, the Department of Trade and Industry, the Department of Mineral Resources, the South African Revenue Service, the South African Reserve Bank, the Financial Intelligence Centre and the National Prosecuting Authority.
