The FF Plus today in parliament called on the police and the management of the Elsenburg Agricultural Training Institute to guarantee the safety of students and lecturers at this institution.

Dr. Pieter Groenewald, the FF Plus’ chief spokesperson on police, said the FF Plus calls on the provincial and national government as well as the minister of police to intervene at Elsenburg as they neglected to timeously address and defuse the problem.

“You have to intervene and make sure that people’s safety is ensured. We also call on the management of the Institute to cooperate with the police and refuse access to the campus to unauthorised persons,” Dr. Groenewald said.
