FEDUSA: FEDUSA annual Leadership and Collective Bargaining Conference

The Federation of Unions of South Africa (FEDUSA) will be holding its annual Leadership and Collective Bargaining Conference at the Lakeside Hotel Conference in Benoni on the East Rand from 2- 3 March 2017.

After the official opening of the Conference by FEDUSA President Godfrey Selematsela on Day 1, Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver the keynote address. Ramaphosa’s address will be followed by panel discussions on collective bargaining that will focus on settlements for 2016 and those expected in 2017; transformational leadership, the fourth industrial revolution, green jobs and the future of work.

Reserve Bank Head of Economic Research Rashad Cassim will deliver a paper on Monetary Policy before the lunch break and take part in a panel discussion that will include Professor Raymond Parsons from the North West University.

Deputy Director General for Economic Policy at the Department of Finance Monale Ratsoma will present a paper on South Africa’s Economic Outlook and the work of Team South Africa and take part in a panel discussion that will include Telkom Chairman Jabu Mabuza and Goldman Sachs Managing Director Colin Coleman.

On Day 2, Judge Dennis Davies from the Department of Justice will deliver a paper on illicit tax and financial flows while Professors Vivian Taylor and Alex van Heerden from Wits University will deliver a joint paper on Comprehensive Social and Retirement Reform before taking part in a panel discussion that will include Zane Dangor, the Director General of the Department of Social Development.
